Arizona Coyotes Sign Veteran Forward

The Arizona Coyotes have signed one of the more notable free agents on the market. Jason Zucker is now a Yote, as he has inked a one-year, $5.3 million contract.

It is a little surprising to see Zucker settle for a one-year pact, but at the same time, he is also getting a nice chunk of change from the Coyotes. The veteran winger is set to be a major part of their offensive group and should be in the running to receive first-line minutes. This, in turn, could allow him to put up a big year in Arizona.

Zucker appeared in 78 games this past season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, scoring 27 goals and recording 48 points. Overall, it was a solid year from the 31-year-old, and now he will be aiming to replicate it with the Coyotes from here.

If Zucker has a strong season and the Coyotes struggle in 2023-24, he could be a big trade piece for the Coyotes at the deadline. Alas, we will now need to wait and see how this move benefits both parties from here.
