Best Free-Agent Forwards Still Available On Day 2

The first day of free agency saw several of the most notable free agents find new homes. However, at the time of this writing, there are still some very good forwards available for the taking. Here is a list of the top players left.

Tyler Bertuzzi: Tyler Bertuzzi's days as a Boston Bruin as over, as confirmed by GM Don Sweeney. As a result, the scrappy winger is receiving a lot of interest. Appearing in 50 regular-season games last season, he had eight goals and 30 points. He also was the Bruins' top postseason performer, posting five goals and 10 points in seven games played.

Patrick Kane: Patrick Kane is still available, but word is that he will make his decision about his next destination when he is healthy. Thus, we may need to wait a long time before we know his new home.

Vladimir Tarasenko: Another New York Rangers free agent, Vladimir Tarasenko is still available for the taking. He has received interest from the Ottawa Senators, but other teams in the mix could include the New York Islanders, Washington Capitals, and Dallas Stars.

Max Domi: Max Domi is another notable name still looking for his next. He showed this season that he can thrive playing top-six minutes and should get a multi-year pact because of it. The Nashville Predators and Toronto Maple Leafs are two teams who have him on their radar.

Jonathan Toews: Jonathan Toews is weighing his options for next season. If he decides to play another season, he is easily one of the top UFAs left. He still can be a decent bottom-six center on a contender. He also offers leadership and captained the Chicago Blackhawks to three Stanley Cups.

Patrice Bergeron & David Krejci: It is Bruins or retirement for Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, but they still formed an excellent one-two punch for the 65-win Bruins this past season. Thus, it felt necessary to include them in this list.
