Carolina Hurricanes Rumors: Brett Pesce Linked to Western Conference Team

The Dallas Stars are looking to improve the right side of their defensive group before the start of the season. According to The Fourth Period, Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce is on their radar because of it.

The Hurricanes have been shopping Pesce, as he is entering the final year of his contract, and he has yet to sign an extension. With Pesce being a legitimate top-four defenseman, he is understandably garnering plenty of attention, so the Stars will have a lot of competition if they hope to land him.

Pesce is coming off of another solid season with the Hurricanes, posting five goals, 30 points, and a plus-11 rating. Overall, he proved to be very reliable defensively and chipped in well offensively in the process. This is something that Dallas could use more of right now.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if the Stars end up successfully acquiring Pesce before the start of the 2023-24 season from here.
