Florida Panthers Sign Forward to Extension

The Florida Panthers have signed Eetu Luostarinen to a three-year, $9 million contract extension. It will run until the completion of the 2026-27 season.

Luostarainen is coming off of a breakout season with the Florida Panthers, posting new career highs with 17 goals, 26 assists, 43 points, and a plus-19 rating. After this season, he cemented himself as a reliable middle-six forward, and now he will be aiming to build off of it during the 2023-24 season.

If Luostarainen continues to improve his play, this contract extension could end up being a complete steal for the Panthers. It is at a fairly affordable price and for multiple seasons, so it is hard not to like this deal for the Panthers.

Luostarainen should continue to be a key part of the Panthers' forward group and penalty kill as they look to have a big 2023-24 campaign.

Nevertheless, we will now need to wait and see how well the 25-year-old forward performs for Florida from here.
