Montreal Canadiens Re-Sign Rafael Harvey-Pinard

The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed Rafael Harvey-Pinard to a two-year, $2.2 million contract.

Harvey-Pinard had a breakout season in 2022-23, and that has led to him landing this sweet two-year pact with the Canadiens. In 34 games with Montreal, he posted 14 goals to go along with 20 points. He displayed that he has the potential to be a legitimate middle-six forward due to his scoring ability, and now he will be aiming to build off of it during the 2023-24 campaign.

Harvey-Pinard is going to receive plenty of chances to succeed with the Canadiens next season. The 24-year-old showed that he has the potential to become an impactful NHL forward, and it will be fun to see what he does this upcoming season.

This signing means that the Canadiens only have one more notable RFA left to sign, recent acquisition Alex Newhook. They also have some cap space to work with, so we will need to wait and see if any other moves follow from here.
