NHL Rumors: 2 Teams Eyeing Alex Chiasson

Alex Chiasson is still looking for a home for the 2023-24 season, but it appears that things could change on that front. The Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers both have the winger on their radar.

The Red Wings have been connected to Chiasson all summer, but they have yet to come to terms on a new deal. The Red Wings have offered him a two-way deal, but Chiasson is looking for a one-way pact. However, given his success with the club last season when called upon, perhaps things could change on that front. He would serve as a solid fourth-liner or 13th forward for Detroit if brought back.

The Rangers, on the other hand, could use some help in their bottom six, and that is something that Chiasson would provide. After all, the 6-foot-3 winger provides decent secondary scoring in a small role and is also a strong option for a team's power play because of his net-front presence ability. With the Rangers having limited cap space, they could take a shot on Chiasson at a league-minimum deal.

We will need to wait and see if Chiasson ends up signing with one of these clubs before the start of the season from here.
