NHL Rumors: 2 Teams Eyeing Zack Kassian

After a rough 2022-23 season, Zack Kassian was bought out by the Arizona Coyotes. He is still looking for a new home, but that could change shortly. Two teams that have the gritty winger on their radar is the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.

The Rangers have been looking to add some toughness since trading Ryan Reaves this past season. They have limited cap space to add to their bottom six, so it could make sense to take a chance on Kassian on a cheap one-year deal. He would be an option for their fourth line or could give them an experienced 13th forward.

The Kings, on the other hand, have high expectations heading into the new season. However, when looking at their roster, it is fair to argue that they could use a little more toughness. This is especially so when noting that Zack MacEwen left through free agency. Thus, it makes sense that they are looking at Kassian as a possible option.

We will need to wait and see where Kassian ends up going from here, but these are two teams to pay close attention to.
