NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Linked to Vladimir Tarasenko

Vladimir Tarasenko is still looking for his next home on Day 3 of free agency, but the star winger is certainly generating interest. Three teams are currently linked to him – the Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, and Detroit Red Wings.

The Senators have been linked to Tarasenko since the first day of free agency, and they are continuing to be. It makes sense, given that they are looking for another top-six sniper in their lineup. He would be a major addition to their current roster, so let’s see if their interest leads to him heading there.

The New York Islanders need a scoring winger. This has been a necessity for multiple years now, but it continues not to be addressed. Yet, with Tarasenko still on the board, the Islanders have been kicking their tires on the winger. He would be a perfect addition to their first line with Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat.

The Detroit Red Wings have had another summer of spending, but they might not be done just yet. Adding another top-six winger appears to be on their wishlist, as Tarasenko has emerged as a free-agent target for them. They have cap space to get another notable deal done.
