NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Who Could Sign Free Agent Phil Kessel
The NHL's free agency period is off and running and there's a number of big name players off the board. There's also several veteran free agents who are now looking for homes once the dust settled including Phil Kessel of the Vegas Golden Knights. It's been made pretty obvious from Kessel's comments he still wants to play but may have to look elsewhere, here's three teams he may end up signing with:
Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks would like to add another veteran up front and specifically on the right side. They don't have a ton of depth and will need to add a few more pieces to fill out their roster for next season. Kessel can't lead a team like he once could, but as a middle-six winger who can provide secondary scoring. The Blackhawks will surely kick some tires this summer.

Minnesota Wild
The Wild are a team to watch as Kessel has ties to the area and they have a need for some help on the wing. Minnesota has over $7 million in cap space left and will surely be able to fit in the veteran winger on a one-year deal around $1 million. Kessel put up 36 points in 82 games last season and with some second power-play time, could once again reach 50 points.

Could also see Minnesota bringing 3 time cup champion Phil Kessel home on a two year deal (2/2)
Dallas Stars
The Stars are trying to retool on the fly and have given their top three lines a facelift with some of their offseason moves. They've had a lot of success by bringing in veteran forwards who know their role and the same could be said for Kessel moving forward. Dallas has limited cap space but are talking trades with several team surrounding their defense. If things open up for the Stars, look for Kessel to consider the move.
