NHL Rumors: 5 Teams in the Mix for Vladimir Tarasenko

Vladimir Tarasenko is the top free agent still without a home, but that is not due to a lack of interest. The Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, San Jose Sharks, and Nashville Predators are all currently linked to the star.

The Senators and Hurricanes have been the two main players in the Tarasenko sweepstakes over the last week and a half, but we should not rule out these three other clubs. After all, Tarasenko is taking his sweet time with his decision.

Per Elliotte Friedman, Tarasenko it is becoming possible that Tarasenko will sign a one-year deal instead of committing to a club long term. This, in turn, would allow him the opportunity to test the market again next summer, in hopes of landing a bigger offer.

In 69 games last season split between the St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers, Tarasenko had 18 goals and 50 points.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if any of these five clubs end up bringing in Tarasenko.
