NHL Rumors: Latest On Martin Jones' Free Agency Market

Martin Jones is one of the top goaltenders still on the free-agent market, but things could be changing on that front shortly. According to David Pagnotta, Jones is having talks with several different teams.
Jones spent this past season with the Seattle Kraken, where he sported a 27-13-3 record, 2.99 GAA, and .887 SV%. Although his individual stats were not particularly impressive, he also put together a strong record, so it makes sense that there are teams willing to take a shot on him.

At this point of his career, Jones is likely better suited to a be a 1B goalie or a club's backup. If signed to a cheap one-year deal, the 33-year-old could certainly be a decent addition to a team.

In 444 career games split between the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken, he sports a 225-163-35 record, 2.71 GAA, and .905 SV%.

It will be interesting to see where Jones ends up landing from here, but do not be surprised if an announcement comes in the upcoming days.
