NHL Rumors: Surprising Team Enters Matt Dumba Sweepstakes
The Anaheim Ducks have added Alex Killorn and Radko Gudas to their roster this summer. It is clear that they want to be more competitive next season, and they may not be done just yet, as they also have defenseman Matt Dumba on their radar.
Dumba is by far the best defenseman still available for the taking in free agency. He has been garnering interest around the league but is taking his time with his decision. When noting that the Ducks currently have over $27 million of cap space, they are in a prime position to make Dumba a big offer.
If Anaheim signed Dumba, he would be an immediate fit in their top four and see time on both of their power play and penalty kill. With that, the 28-year-old would be an excellent mentor for the club's younger players.
We will need to wait and see if Anaheim's interest in Dumba leads to them landing the Saskatchewan native from here.
