NHL Rumors: Tomas Tatar to Winnipeg Jets Heating Up
The Winnipeg Jets have cap space to work with, and they are browsing the free-agent market because of it. One player who is starting to emerge on their radar is veteran winger Tomas Tatar.
Tatar is one of the top unrestricted free agents still on the board, and it should not take him too much longer to find his next home. After all, he is an effective middle-six forward who is coming off of a solid 2022-23 season with the New Jersey Devils. In 82 games with the club, he posted 20 goals to go along with 48 points.
The Jets are looking to improve their middle six, so it makes sense that Tatar is a player who they are considering. He would give their second line a nice boost because of his ability to produce offense. With that, he would also be a nice addition to their power play.
We will need to wait and see if the Jets end up being the lucky team to sign Tatar from here. On paper, there seems to be a good match between the player and the team.
