NHL Rumors: Vladimir Tarasenko Reportedly Chooses His Next Destination

The Vladimir Tarasenko sweepstakes appear to be over, as Shayna Goldman of The Athletic reported that the star winger will be signing with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes were linked to Tarasenko throughout the first few days of free agency. The Ottawa Senators were also connected to Tarasenko, but now it appears that he has made his choice to go to Carolina.

Once this move is finalized, the Hurricanes will be landing their third notable free agent of the summer. They already brought in Dmitry Orlov and Michael Bunting.

The Hurricanes are continuing to strengthen their roster, and they are heading into next season as one of the top teams on paper yet again.

Alas, on paper this looks like a great fit. We will now need to wait for the official signing to be reported.

In 69 games played this past season split between the St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers, Tarasenko posted 18 goals to go along with 50 points.
