NHL Rumors: Vladimir Tarasenko Linked to Surprising Team

Vladimir Tarasenko is still looking for his new team. Clubs like the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators have been linked to the star winger, but it appears that a rebuilding team also has him on their radar - the San Jose Sharks.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Sharks have interest in signing Tarasenko. This certainly may be a surprise to some, as the Sharks are rebuilding. With that, they have been actively shopping Erik Karlsson, so seeing them pursue a star forward who is over 30 is certainly intriguing.

If the Sharks signed Tarasenko, he would be an immediate fit on their top line and power play. He would be a great winger for center Tomas Hertl to play with due to his strong scoring ability.

It will be interesting to see if the Sharks become the surprising eventual landing spot for Tarasenko. They have plenty of money to work with to outbid teams, so perhaps it could be in the cards.
