NHL Rumors: Winnipeg Jets & Arizona Coyotes Talking Trade
The Winnipeg Jets are going through some big changes. Pierre-Luc Dubois and Blake Wheeler are gone, and Connor Hellebuyck and Mark Scheifele could be out next. Yet, their goal is to remain competitive. As a result, according to The Fourth Period, they are currently linked to Lawson Crouse.
Crouse's name has come up in the rumor mill quite often over these last two years, but at the time of this writing, he remains with the Arizona Coyotes. However, when noting that Arizona is rebuilding and Crouse's value is quite high, they could look to take advantage of it.
The Jets need to improve their forward group if they hope to remain competitive, and adding Crouse would certainly do that. He would be a nice addition to their second line and give them more scoring and grit. With that, he would be a great option for their power play because of his net-front presence ability.
Alas, time will tell if Winnipeg's interest in Crouse leads to anything, but there appears to be a good match here on paper.
