Seattle Kraken Sign Big Piece On Defense
After 10 years in the Pittsburgh Penguins' organization, Brian Dumoulin moved on and signed with the newest franchise in the league, the Seattle Kraken. He makes the left side of their defense very strong as the team now has the unsigned RFA Vince Dunn, Jamie Oleksiak, and Dumoulin.
Dumoulin is not known for his offense, but can provide a bit throughout the season. He is very capable in the defensive end and consistently blocks shots, hits, and can easily play top-four minutes if needed. The veteran is used very heavily on the penalty kill and plays a very clean game.
The Penguins found a younger replacement in Ryan Graves as they rework their defense again. The Kraken kept their signing affordable for just two years while they really didn't have any internal options to fill the hole. There were a lot of goals against last season, so this Dumoulin addition is a very good one.
