Tampa Bay Lightning to Re-Sign Forward
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Tampa Bay Lightning are close to re-signing Tanner Jeannot to a two-year contract.
At this juncture, the specifics of Jeannot's new deal have not been announced. The gritty forward filed for salary arbitration and was set to have a hearing on July 24. It is also important to note that his qualifying offer was set for just under $900,000.
Jeannot, 26, spent this past season split between the Nashville Predators and Lightning, posting six goals, 18 points, 290 hits, and 107 penalty minutes. It was a notable drop in production from the year prior, as he had 24 goals and 41 points with the Predators in 2022-23. Now, he will be aiming to bounce back with Tampa Bay from here.
We will need to pay attention for Jeannot's contract to be officially announced from here.
