Ducks Rumors: Adam Henrique Becoming Target for Contender

In a recent piece for The Athletic, Allan Mitchell wrote that Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique could be a player who the Edmonton Oilers target at the trade deadline this season.

Mitchell argued that the Oilers should look to improve their center depth this season. Adding a player like Henrique is unlikely to be in the cards before the start of the season due to the Oilers' other needs, but this could be an avenue worth exploring at the deadline.

Henrique is likely to be shopped at the deadline this season, as the Anaheim Ducks are rebuilding and expected to be sellers at the deadline because of it. Furthermore, Henrique is a pending UFA, so he should be one of their biggest trade candidates.

It will be interesting to see if the Oilers end up making a push for Henrique this season, but on paper, there appears to be a solid match here. He would get to play for a real contender, while the Oilers would improve their forward group.
