Anaheim Ducks Sign Troy Terry to Massive Deal

The Anaheim Ducks have signed star forward Troy Terry to a seven-year, $49 million contract.

Terry was set to have an arbitration hearing today (Aug. 2), but he and the Ducks avoided it with this new mega deal. Now, the Ducks are going to have Terry as a major part of their core for several years to come.

Terry has emerged as a star over these last few seasons for the Ducks, and he has the potential to improve even further when noting that he is still only 25 years old.

Terry appeared in 70 games this past season with the Ducks, where he posted 23 goals to go along with 61 points. Overall, it was another strong year from the Colorado native, and now he will be aiming to build off of it with this mega extension.

We will need to wait and see how this deal ages from here, but on paper, this looks like a great signing for both the player and the team.
