Vancouver Canucks Rumors: Update Regarding Tucker Poolman

According to CHEK's Rick Dhaliwal, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tucker Poolman has not been cleared to return yet due to his continued concussion symptoms. Dhaliwal also noted that Poolman does not want to retire and hopes to return to action in the future.

With Poolman still not cleared for contact this late into the offseason and a return not likely to come anytime soon, he is expected to be placed on LTIR at the start of the season. This move will help save the Canucks $2.5 million of cap space until he is activated again.

Poolman was limited to only three games this past season due to concussion symptoms, where he had an assist and a plus-1 rating.

This news is tough to hear, as Poolman clearly wants to keep playing, but he simply can't right now. Furthermore, head injuries are not to be taken lightly, and it is a shame to hear that his symptoms are still quite present.

In 163 career NHL games, Poolman has six goals, 23 points, and a plus-2 rating.
