Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Forward Becoming Trade Candidate

Tyler Johnson is coming off of a solid season with the Chicago Blackhawks. Due to this, his trade value has increased a bit, and the Blackhawks are reportedly open to listening to offers for the veteran forward because of it.

Although the Blackhawks have made several additions to their group this summer, they are still rebuilding and are open to making moves because of it. With Johnson being 33 years old, he is not viewed as a long-term part of their core, so the Blackhawks could look to take advantage of his increased value because of it.

In 56 games this past season with the Blackhawks, Johnson posted 12 goals to go along with 32 points. It was one of the veteran forward's best seasons in a while, and he showed that he can still be a decent middle-six forward in the process.

If the Blackhawks are willing to retain some salary, they could get a solid return for Johnson in a potential trade. We will need to wait and see if he ends up being moved before the start of the season.
