Florida Panthers Rumors: Sam Reinhart Listed as Trade Candidate
The Florida Panthers have some important players to re-sign over the next few offseasons, but they have limited cap space to work with moving forward. Due to this, The Athletic recently listed Sam Reinhart as one of their notable trade targets heading into the 2023-24 season.
Reinhart is entering the final season of his contract, and it is certainly not guaranteed that they will opt to re-sign him after this upcoming season. Defensemen Brandon Montour and Gustav Forsling will both be up for their next contracts next summer, while Aaron Ekblad will be due for a raise after the 2024-25 season. Due to this, the Panthers may look to move Reinhart if they don't view him as a part of their long-term plans.
Teams in need of a top-six forward should call the Panthers about Reinhart from here. Besides being very skilled and a high point-producer, he also offers versatility, being able to play both the wing and down the middle. Let's see if the Panthers end up moving him this season from here.
