Golden Knights Rumors: 2 Potential Landing Spots for Jonathan Marchessault

With Jonathan Marchessault starting to become a trade candidate, there should be several teams looking to call the Vegas Golden Knights about him. As a result, let's discuss two clubs who could make a big push to acquire the reigning Conn Smythe winner.

New York Islanders: The New York Islanders were major players in the Alex DeBrincat sweepstakes before his eventual move to the Detroit Red Wings. It is easy to understand why, as they desperately need a scoring winger if they hope to become a bigger threat in the Eastern Conference. Now with Marchessault's name in the rumor mill, don't be surprised if the Islanders are heavily connected to him moving forward.

Buffalo Sabres: The Buffalo Sabres are reportedly looking to add a scoring winger with Jack Quinn set to miss a good chunk of time at the start of the season. With the Sabres having playoff expectations in 2023-24, they could look to bring in Marchessault. He would be a welcomed addition to their top six and be a key contributor to their power play if acquired. With that, they still have a decent amount of cap space to work with.

We will need to wait and see if the Golden Knights end up listening to offers for Marchessault from here, but do not be surprised if these two clubs are in the mix if so.
