Injury Update On Washington Capitals' Max Pacioretty
According to Jason Chen of The Hockey News, Washington Capitals forward Max Pacioretty is not expected to be ready to go for opening night of the 2023-24 season.
Pacioretty is continuing to recover from his torn Achilles. The veteran winger tore the same tendon twice last season and only appeared in five games for the Carolina Hurricanes. Yet, he still proved to be effective when healthy, potting three goals.
Pacioretty is expecting to be ready to return to action soon after the start of the regular season. This will be dependent on how smoothly the rest of his recovery goes.
Pacioretty inked a one-year pact with the Capitals earlier this summer and is expected to be a big part of their top six, assuming he can stay healthy. We will need to wait and see when the star forward is ready to go and how much of an impact he will make once he returns from here.
