Morgan Frost "At A Crossroads" With Flyers On Contract Talks

After a breakout season in 2022-23, Philly fans are seeing a bright future for Morgan Frost in the City of Brotherly Love. But he remains the lone unsigned free agent for the Philadelphia Flyers this summer, and things on the contract front are eerily quiet.

According to a report, there have been very few talks over the last several weeks, and Frost and the team appear to be "at a crossroads" in the stalled discussions.

There's still time to get a deal done, and it's thought that some comparable contracts being signed around the league lately could lead to the talks picking up. But it's most likely that this stalemate could head into September and possibly close to the start of training camp.

Still just 24, the former first-rounder (27th overall in 2017) showed he's ready to be a solid contributor, as he totaled 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points. And he improved as the season went along. After December 11, he recorded more points than any other Flyers player through the end of the season. He finished with eight goals and 17 points in his final 21 games.

Perhaps the holdup could be the Flyers looking at a short, two-year bridge deal type of contract, while Frost is angling for something more substantial. We'll find out soon enough, with camp just about four weeks away.
