NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Free-Agent Destinations for Paul Stastny

Paul Stastny is still looking for a new home one month into free agency. Although this is the case, there is reason to believe that he will be able to find a new home before the start of the season. His experience is valuable, and he could be a nice bottom-six center for a team in need of depth. As a result, let's discuss two possible landing spots for him.

Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins need help down the middle. However, they also have limited cap space, so they may be forced to bring in a depth center if they cannot find a way to bring in a star like Elias Lindholm or Mark Scheifele. Stastny could be a nice addition to their third or fourth line and work as an option on their power play if signed.

Colorado Avalanche: Could a reunion between Stastny and the Colorado Avalanche make sense? Perhaps. There is no question that the Avalanche could use some help in their bottom six, so it could be worthwhile to take a chance on Stastny. Although he is no longer a top-six center at this juncture of his career, he would give the Avalanche another mentor for their young players and a bit more production in their bottom six.

We will need to wait and see if either of these clubs end up taking a chance on Stastny before the start of the season from here.
