NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Free-Agent Destinations for Tomas Tatar
Tomas Tatar is still looking for a new home one month into free agency. There is no question that he is a skilled middle-six winger, so things should change on that front soon. Let's discuss two teams who could be in play for the veteran forward.
San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks could consider signing Tatar. Keep in mind, they were major players in the Vladimir Tarasenko sweepstakes before he opted to sign with the Ottawa Senators. Although Tatar is not as big of a star as Tarasenko, he would be a sweet consolation price, as he would immediately become one of their top wingers.
Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks have made several additions to their group this summer, even with their current rebuild. When noting that they could still use more help for Connor Bedard, perhaps they could consider making a push for Tatar. He would be a great addition to their second line and would be a clear candidate for their power play if signed.
Some other teams who could consider making a push for Tatar include the Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, New York Islanders, Seattle Kraken, and Anaheim Ducks.
We will need to wait and see where Tatar ends up signing from here but do not be surprised if a decision is made shortly.
