NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Free-Agent Destinations for Danton Heinen

Danton Heinen is still looking for a new home with the regular season only two months away. However, when noting that he is a solid bottom-six forward when performing at his best, there is reason to believe that he should be able to secure a cheap deal before the start of the year. Thus, let's discuss two possible landing spots for him.

Minnesota Wild: The Minnesota Wild could use more forward depth before the season begins. When noting that they have limited cap space, they could consider taking a chance on a bargain free agent like Heinen. He would be a possible option for their third line and could see time on their power play and/or penalty kill due to his solid two-way play.

Florida Panthers: The Florida Panthers are another club that would benefit from adding another bottom-six forward to their group. Their forward depth is decent, but having another player like Heinen around would not be a bad thing in the slightest. He would be a decent option for their third or fourth line, as he would give them a bit more production.

We will need to wait and see if either of these clubs end up signing Heinen before the start of the 2023-24 campaign from here.
