NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Free-Agent Destinations for Josh Bailey

Josh Bailey is one of the top forwards still looking for a new home. He is likely to land a one-year deal before the start of the season, as he still is a decent third-line winger when performing at his best. Due to this, let's go over two teams who could sign him before the start of the season.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals are looking to add to their forward group before the start of the year. If they are unable to land a big fish in the trade market, they could consider taking a shot on Bailey. He would be a decent option for their third line and could see time on their power play and penalty kill because of his two-way style of play.

Winnipeg Jets: The Winnipeg Jets could also use more forward depth. Bailey could be a solid addition to their bottom six because of this. This is especially so if the change of scenery helps him find his previous pace of production. Keep in mind, he did post 44 points in 74 games in 2021-22. With that, the Jets could use another veteran in their lineup after parting ways with Blake Wheeler.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if Bailey ends up signing a deal with one of these two clubs before the start of the season from here.
