NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Jaroslav Halak

Jaroslav Halak is one of the top goaltenders still looking for a new home. He has made it known that he does not plan to retire, as he is just five wins away from the 300-win milestone. As a result, let's go over two teams that could consider signing the 38-year-old netminder.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The Tampa Bay Lightning could use a backup goaltender as they inch closer to the regular season. They have not found a replacement for Brian Elliott yet, so it could make sense for the Lightning to take a shot on Halak at a cheap cap hit. He would give them a reliable backup option with a plethora of experience.

Winnipeg Jets: The Winnipeg Jets could also be a possible landing spot for the Jets. The Jets could need another goaltender if they end up moving Connor Hellebuyck before the start of the season. Halak would work as a potential backup option for Laurent Brossoit in that scenario, and he would be able to be had at a very cheap cap hit in the process.

We will need to wait and see where Halak ends up signing from here, but these two clubs stand out as solid possible free-agent destinations.
