Penguins Rumors: Tomas Tatar Continuing to Be Linked to Pittsburgh

Over the last week, reports have surfaced that the Pittsburgh Penguins are considering the prospect of signing Tomas Tatar. Now, this rumor is picking up more steam, as The Athletic's Rob Rossi said that the Penguins are "keenly interested" in Tatar.

Tatar also recently spoke with Sport.sk about the possibility of signing with the Penguins saying "it (would be nice to play for Pittsburgh), but I don't want to develop it further."

This is something that we should pay very close attention to from here. The Penguins are in need of another middle-six forward after trading away Mikael Granlund, and Tatar would be a nice upgrade over him on their third line.

In 82 games this past season with the New Jersey Devils, Tatar posted 20 goals to go along with 48 points. Adding that kind of production would be nice for the Penguins, so let's see if their interest in the 32-year-old leads to them signing him from here. It is clear that Tatar is open to the prospect of it.
