Predators Rumors: Alexandre Carrier Becoming Trade Candidate

After signing Luke Schenn this offseason, the Nashville Predators now have a surplus of right-shot NHL-caliber defensemen. Due to this, one player who is starting to emerge as a possible trade candidate on their roster is Alexandre Carrier.

After recording a 30-point campaign in 77 games with the Predators in 2021-22, Carrier took a notable step back last season, posting just two goals and nine points in 43 games. Due to this disappointing season, he does not appear to be a lock to be in their top six at the start of the season. Thus, a change of scenery may be in the cards.

There could be teams out there willing to take a chance on Carrier, as he is only one season removed from a strong one and is just 26 years old. Thus, let's see if the Predators end up moving him before the start of the season from here.
