Sabres Rumors: Jacob Bryson's Time In Buffalo Could Be Finished

According to Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News, Jacob Bryson is likely the odd man out from their defensive group, and he could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season because of it.

The Sabres added Connor Clifton and Erik Johnson to their roster this offseason, and it has since given them a surplus of NHL-caliber defensemen. Due to this, Bryson is unlikely to have a spot in their top six, so it would be wise for the Sabres to move. This is especially so when noting that he carries a $1.85 million cap hit.

Bryson, 25, appeared in 59 games this past season with the Sabres, posting one goal, eight assists, and a minus-24 rating. It was a bit of a disappointing season for him, and he will be heading into next season with the expectation of bouncing back because of it - whether he remains with Buffalo or plays elsewhere.
