Scott Harrington Signs PTO With Pacific Team

The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenseman Scott Harrington to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Harrington, 30, is a familiar face to the Ducks, as he spent the final portion of the 2022-23 season with
them after being claimed off waivers from the New Jersey Devils. He was waived immediately after being traded to the New Jersey Devils from the San Jose Sharks as a part of the Timo Meier blockbuster trade last season. In 28 games as a Shark last year, he had one goal and seven points.

Harrington will be looking to earn himself a contract with the Ducks from here. When noting that their left side is not particularly impressive, so it is fair to say that Harrington has a good shot of making their roster. With this PTO, he will give the Ducks another possible bottom-pairing option to consider.

In 255 career NHL games, Harrington has 11 goals, 38 assists, and 49 points.
