Winnipeg Jets Sign Third Piece Of Dubois Trade Return Package

The Winnipeg Jets now officially have all three of the pieces that came back in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade locked up for at least two more seasons with the extension of Rasmus Kupari. He received a two-year, $1 million AAV deal.

The 23-year-old should play on the fourth line this season and is coming off his second season in the NHL. He didn't really improve from season 1 to 2 as he only scored three goals and 15 points in 66 games. The former first rounder is still looking for that offensive spark that got him drafted 20th overall.

The Jets aren't going to rush him into any spot he's not comfortable with or has proven he can play in, and they appear to be bringing in a number of younger players to fill the roster. He can play all three forward positions, so there is a possibility that he could see a little time on the third line if he shows improvement this season. The Jets are hoping that all returning pieces from that trade have strong seasons.
