3 St. Louis Blues Captain Candidates

At the time of this writing, there are eight teams currently without captains for the 2023-24 season. As a result of this, over the next few days, we here at NHLTR will be starting a mini-series going over three captain candidates for each of these clubs.

In this latest edition of the series, let’s discuss the St. Louis Blues. However, their captain choice is not expected to come this season.

Robert Thomas: Robert Thomas has become a big part of the Blues’ roster and has emerged as a leader because of it. When noting that he will be a part of their core for a long time, he certainly stands out as a candidate.

Jordan Kyrou: Like Thomas, Kyrou will be a notable part of the Blues’ core for many seasons. Due to this and his improved play, he will surely get some consideration for the C.

Brayden Schenn: If the Blues want to give the C to one of their veterans, Brayden Schenn would be a clear candidate. He is a leader on their roster and of course, was a big part of their 2019 Stanley Cup run.
