Arizona Coyotes Place Unique Prospect On Unconditional Waivers

The Arizona Coyotes have placed forward Liam Kirk on unconditional waivers. A contract termination is likely on the way.

The Coyotes selected Kirk with the 189th pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. This selection was quite notable, as Kirk became the first player born and developed in England to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft. Yet, now it appears that he may be heading overseas to continue his career.

Kirk appeared in just one game for the Tucson Roadrunners last season, failing to get on the scoresheet. Down in the ECHL with the Atlanta Gladiators, he had five goals to go along with 11 points. He also spent time on a loan with Liiga's Jukurit, posting 19 points in 25 games.

We will need to wait and see what happens with Kirk from here, but don't be surprised if we see an announcement soon saying that he is joining a team overseas.
