Arizona Coyotes Re-Sign Young Forward

The Arizona Coyotes have re-signed forward Jan Jenik to a one-year contract.

Jenik, 23, reportedly requested a trade earlier this offseason. However, it seems quite possible that he has had a change of heart given this recent signing. Regardless, he will be aiming to take a notable step forward with the Coyotes in 2023-24.

Jenik only appeared in two games for the Coyotes last season, where he was held off the scoresheet. He has made appearances at the NHL level in each of the last three seasons, posting four goals and an assist in 17 total games.

Jenik also appeared in 30 games last season with the Tucson Roadrunners, where he had 23 points in 30 games. Overall, it was a solid season for him at the AHL level, and it will be intriguing to see if he can translate that kind of production with the Coyotes this season. Let's see if he does just that.
