Arizona Coyotes Release 4 Players From PTOs

The Arizona Coyotes have released Ryan Dzingel, Olli Juolevi, Austin Strand, and Patrick Harper from their PTOs.

The Coyotes announced today that the following players have been released from their PTO agreements:
•Olli Juolevi (PTO)
•Austin Strand (PTO)
•Ryan Dzingel (PTO)
•Patrick Harper (PTO)

The Coyotes memorably signed 11 players to PTOs before training camp. The primary reason for this was because of the Global Series and the start of the regular preseason beginning at the same time. As a result, they needed extra players. Now with everything back to normal for the Yotes, they are parting ways with these four.

Out of this quartet, seeing Dzingel and Juolevi being let go so early is pretty notable. It seemed possible that they could compete for roster spots on the Coyotes' roster, but neither player will now. As for Strand and Harper, perhaps they could find AHL deals elsewhere, as they both have a decent amount of experience on their resumes.
