Avalanche Rumors: Colorado Examining Trade Market, Insider Says
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the Colorado Avalanche are examining the goalie market because Pavel Francouz is still recovering from offseason adductor surgery and could miss some time.
#Avs appear to be examining options on the goalie market. Sounds like Pavel Francouz has not completely recovered from his offseason adductor surgery and there is concern he will miss some time.

Francouz made just 16 starts for the Avalanche last season.@DailyFaceoff
Francouz appeared in only 16 games with the Avalanche last season, posting an 8-7-1 record, a .915 save percentage, and a 2.61 goals-against average. Once again, he proved to be a dependable backup when healthy.
The Avalanche have some potential options through free agency if they want a backup. Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliott are still available for the taking. The Montreal Canadiens are also expected to trade a goaltender, with Casey DeSmith being the main candidate. Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar has also picked up plenty of chatter in the rumor mill this offseason.
It will be interesting to see what the Avalanche end up doing with their goaltending from here. Either way, here's to hoping that Francouz can be good to go soon for them.
