Canadiens Forward Has "Not Been Medically Cleared" To Start The Season

In recent Montreal Canadiens news, the team has been facing uncertainties surrounding key players as they prepare for the 2023-24 season.

Christian Dvorak, who had a promising 2021-22 campaign but underwent knee surgery this past March, remains a significant question mark as he awaits medical clearance to return to action.

While his recovery has been closely monitored, there is hope that he may soon receive the green light to rejoin the team.

General Manager Kent Hughes has stated that Dvorak is currently the only player not ready to return, and an upcoming meeting with his surgeon could determine his readiness for contact, potentially setting the stage for his return.

In his two seasons with the Canadiens, Dvorak has amassed 21 goals and 61 total points across 120 games played.

For his entire seven-year career, the 27-year-old has scored 88 goals and 207 total points over 422 games played, 302 of them with the Arizona Coyotes.

Canadiens fans are hoping for a quick and full recovery for Dvorak as the team aims to start the season at full strength after dealing with numerous injuries in the previous season. Photo Credit: Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports
