Colin White Secures PTO From Metro Team
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Colin White to a professional tryout contract, according to Renaud Lavoie.
The Penguins have been quite active with PTOs this offseason, as they already had Austin Wagner, Mark Psysk, and Libor Hajek signed to them. Now, White is the latest to join in the party.
White, 26, spent this past season with the Florida Panthers, posting eight goals to go along with 15 points in 58 games. From an offensive standpoint, it was a down year for the former first-rounder, but now he will be hoping for the chance to bounce back with the Penguins in 2023-24.
In 292 career NHL games split between the Ottawa Senators and Panthers, White has 44 goals, 69 assists, and 113 points. His best season came in 2018-19 with the Senators, where he posted 14 goals and 41 points in 71 games.
White will be competing for a bottom-six spot in the Penguins' roster. Let's see if he lands a contract for the season from here.
