Ducks' Alex Killorn Out Multiple Weeks

The Anaheim Ducks will be without their biggest free-agent addition for the start of the 2023-24 season. The team has announced that winger Alex Killorn has a fractured finger and is expected to be out for four to six weeks.
Killorn, 34, is expected to be a huge part of the Ducks' lineup moving forward, so seeing him have to miss multiple weeks to start the season is less than ideal. Although the Ducks have low expectations heading into the new year, it still is bad news, as Killorn will now need more time to get acclimated to his new team and teammates.

Killorn is coming off of a strong 2022-23 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, posting 27 goals and 64 points in 82 games. The Ducks are expecting him to translate that kind of offensive production to their squad in 2023-24 and onward. However, they will now need to wait a bit for him to make his regular-season debut with them due to this development.
