Flames Rumors: 2 Defensemen Listed as Trade Candidates
In a recent article for The Fourth Period, NHL insider David Pagnotta listed Calgary Flames defensemen Noah Hanifin and Nikita Zadorov as players who could be moved before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes.

Hanifin has picked up a lot of trade buzz this offseason. This was because he initially made it clear that he was against signing an extension. He has had a change of heart since, but if the Flames cannot come to terms with a new deal for him before the deadline is here and they are a fringe team again, don't be shocked to see him dealt.
As for Zadorov, he is also entering the final season of his contract, so he would make sense as a rental candidate. Playoff teams would love to add his immense physicality to their blue line for the playoffs. With that, he also contributes a bit offensively, as he is coming off a 14-goal and 21-point season.
