Islanders Rumors: Trade Rumors Continue To Circulate Around Forward
As the new NHL season looms, Jean-Gabriel Pageau remains a central figure in persistent trade rumors swirling around the New York Islanders.
These speculations stem from the team's surplus of talented centers, leading to ongoing discussions about potentially moving Pageau to address their need for a goal-scoring winger, with Bo Horvat solidifying his position at center.

However, executing a trade involving Pageau is far from straightforward.
The 30-year-old center comes with a $5 million annual cap hit that extends until the 2025-26 season, and he possesses a 16-team no-trade list, adding complexity to potential deals.

While the financial constraints faced by many NHL clubs make trading him a challenge, the possibility of a trade gaining traction looms larger as the season progresses, particularly around the trade deadline.
