Maple Leafs Provide Injury Update for John Klingberg

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that John Klingberg will be out day-to-day due to an upper-body injury.
Klingberg, 31, left the club's last preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres early after suffering this
injury. Now we have a better idea of how long he will be out of action, and thankfully, it appears to be a short-term issue.

This is still not ideal news, however, as the time away from the ice will give Klingberg less time to get acclimated with his new Maple Leaf teammates and system.

Klingberg appeared in 67 games last season split between the Anaheim Ducks and Minnesota, where he had 10 goals, 33 points, and a minus-25 rating. It was a down year for the veteran, but there is reason to believe that he will bounce back with Toronto. Yet, he will first need to get fully healthy before getting the chance to do just that.
