Max Comtois To Gain 53-Point Bump In Standings With Impending PTO
After some rumors earlier in the day linking free agent Max Comtois to a couple of Metropolitan Division teams, it now appears that the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights will be signing the former Anaheim Ducks winger to a PTO.
On me dit que Maxime Comtois pourrait décrocher un essai professionnel (PTO) avec les Golden Knights de Vegas. Rien d’officiel encore mais ça se dirige vers ça!

"I'm told Maxime Comtois could land a pro tryout (PTO) with the Vegas Golden Knights," wrote hockey insider Marc-Olivier Beaudoin. "Nothing official yet but it's heading towards that!"
After a breakout 2020-21 campaign that saw Comtois post 16 goals and 33 points in 55 games, the now-24-year-old has seen a significant downturn in his production. He's recorded just 16 and 19 points, respectively, in the last two seasons, with a combined plus-minus of minus-37 in an average of just 14 minutes TOI.
The Ducks gave him his walking papers after the 2022-23 season by declining to give him a qualifying offer. It's possible that a change of scenery could help the former second-round pick unlock his potential, and what better change than going from the NHL's last-place team to the Stanley Cup champs.
