Montreal Canadiens Place Nicolas Beaudin & Others On Waivers

The Montreal Canadiens have placed Nicolas Beaudin, Brady Keeper, Lucas Condotta, and Mitchell Stephens all on waivers.

Beaudin, 23, is the most notable name out of this quartet. The Chateauguay native notably was the Chicago Blackhawks' first-round pick back in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. However, he has yet to become a full-time NHL defenseman at this point of his career. In 39 games last season with the Laval Rocket, he had two goals and 25 points.

Keeper, Condotta, and Stephens are all decent AHL players who should serve as a key parts of the Rocket's roster this season, assuming that they all clear waivers, of course. All three of these players each have made appearances in the NHL but like Beaudin, have never been NHL regulars.

We will need to wait and see if any of these players end up getting scooped up off waivers from here. If not, they will be back with Laval in the AHL.
