NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Jaroslav Halak

Jaroslav Halak is still a free agent in September. The veteran netminder has made it known that he plans to play this season, as he needs just five more wins to hit the 300th of his career. Due to this, let's go over two teams who could consider signing him to a one-year deal.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The Tampa Bay Lightning would be wise to add another goalie to their depth chart. The backup role is up for grabs, and Halak would potentially give them an upgrade if signed. Although he is no longer a legitimate starter, he would be a decent option to have around to give netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy some games off.

Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings could also look to bring in Halak for some insurance. Their goaltending duo is not necessarily the strongest right now, so Halak could compete for a backup spot or be a solid third-string goalie. Due to this, don't be surprised if Los Angeles considers the prospect of signing him to a PTO or one-year pact.
